The conference titled "Kurultai – The Foundation of the State Institute" was held at the Kazakh National Women's Teacher Training University. This scientific event was organized within the framework of the Festival of Pedagogical Ideas "School – University – Market: A New Architecture of Education," which was recently launched at the university.

The initiator of the research work and author of the book is Omarkhan Nurtayuly Oksikbayev, a prominent state and public figure, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Kazakh National Women's Teacher Training University, and Doctor of Economic Sciences. The author systematized medieval data in collaboration with Zaripbay Zhumanuly Orazbay, a renowned orientalist and Turkologist-linguist. Furthermore, the work scientifically analyzes the historical continuity from the very first Kurultai traditions in human history to the modern processes of political modernization in contemporary Kazakhstan.

Omarkhan Nurtayuly emphasized that within the framework of the political reforms currently being carried out by the Head of State, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the issue of rethinking the traditions of national statehood holds paramount importance."In this book, the phenomenon of Kurultai, revived by the President's initiative, is analyzed on a historical and scientific basis. Deeply revealing the etymological and conceptual essence of the term 'Kurultai,' as well as scientifically studying its historical continuity with the traditions of state governance in the Great Steppe, is one of the crucial steps aimed at strengthening the national historical consciousness," stated Omarkhan Nurtayuly.

The unique feature of this work is that the content of the book was prepared based on about ten unique medieval manuscripts translated into the Kazakh language for the very first time. Highlighting the content of the book, the orientalist scholar Zaripbay Zhumanuly remarked: "Published as a result of gathered fresh data and scientific research, this work serves to deeply comprehend the history of national statehood, revive our historical memory, and strengthen our national consciousness."
