The main goal of the event was to assess the theoretical and practical knowledge students gained during the first semester, increase their interest in chemistry, and support their creative inquiry.
During the competition, participants demonstrated a high level of preparation, logical thinking, and laboratory skills. Evaluation was carried out according to four main criteria: level of knowledge, creativity, intellectual competitiveness, and team interaction.
Teams Elegant Electrons, Himforce, Himikter Ligasy, Catalyst Queens, and Ottegi took part in the contest. The competition included several stages: a captain’s challenge, solving chemical problems, identifying inorganic compounds, an engaging experiment, and waste-free technologies.
The jury included: Candidate of Chemical Sciences, Associate Professor Nazgul Akimbaeva;
PhD, Senior Lecturer Banu Diyarova; Master’s degree holders, Senior Lecturers Zamira Sarsenbaeva and Aliya Kamysbaeva; Lecturer Nurzhamal Kurbanbaeva;
and chemistry teacher Kerbez Beysegul from School No. 154 named after Istvan Konyr Mandoki.
Based on the jury’s evaluation, demonstrating high performance and excellent preparation, first place was awarded to the Catalyst Queens team, second place went to the Ottegi team, and third place was awarded to Elegant Electrons.
The event became an important platform for fostering students’ scientific interest, deepening their knowledge, and enhancing teamwork skills.
