From December 1 to 5, 2025, Ayaulym Nesipbay, Chief Librarian of the Seraly Kaniyev Library, and Gauhar Omirbekova, Leading Librarian, took part in the seminar-training “From the Role of Performer to the Role of Strategist: Developing the Leadership Potential of Librarians,” organized by the Nazarbayev University Library within the framework of the Eurasian Academic Libraries Training (EALTraining).

During the event, QyzPU specialists gained comprehensive experience in the strategic areas of modern librarianship.

As part of the program, participants explored the new mission of libraries in the educational process, modern approaches to teaching and information literacy, models for supporting researchers, effective practices for managing electronic resources, and strategies for strengthening engagement with users. In addition, the participants discussed the impact of artificial intelligence on library services, its ethical aspects, the effective use of AI tools, automation opportunities, and prompt engineering—key and emerging areas of contemporary librarianship.

The training broadened the professional outlook of the librarians by providing exposure to international experience and best practices. The knowledge gained will be applied to modernizing library services, improving the quality of user support, and strengthening collaboration with the academic community.
