On January 15, 2026, a guest lecture on anti-corruption was held for faculty members and students at the Kazakh National Women’s Teacher Training University.
The event was organized by the University’s Compliance Service and the Center for Youth Policy within the framework of the “Adal Azamat” concept. The main objective of the lecture was to prevent corruption among adolescents and young people, enhance legal awareness, explain the importance of compliance with the law, and prevent the consequences of legal violations.
At the opening of the lecture, Chairman of the Board – Rector Beibitkul Karimova emphasized the importance of fostering an anti-corruption culture.
“Countering corruption is not only about compliance with the law, but also a value stemming from the internal position of every citizen. The formation of intolerance toward corruption and adherence to the principles of justice and integrity in everyday life directly affect the development of society and the future of the country. Today, the establishment of compliance services in every public sector is a concrete and decisive measure to prevent corruption,” the Rector noted.
The guest speaker of the event was Alik Shpekbaev, former Chairman of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Civil Service Affairs and Anti-Corruption.
In his speech, Alik Shpekbaev focused on the strategic directions of Kazakhstan’s anti-corruption policy, explained the rights and responsibilities of participants, and addressed issues related to the prevention of offenses, criminal liability, and fraud.
“Corruption is one of the major scourges that hinders the development of society. Combating it is the responsibility of every citizen. Where corruption exists, there is no future. Everything depends on our conscious choice. In a society where the rule of law is upheld, justice prevails, and justice paves the way for development,” the speaker emphasized.
In addition, international management systems auditor, representative of the international certification body ISO TQCSI, and founder of the consulting center Medeo Consulting, Gulzhan Turdalieva, presented information on anti-corruption management and international experience in this field.
During the lecture, participants were also provided with detailed information about the state initiatives “Fair Kazakhstan,” “Law and Order,” and “Adal Azamat,” which are aimed at promoting anti-corruption policy and fostering a culture of transparency in society.
