The Department of Social and Humanitarian Disciplines organized a seminar titled "Algorithm of Social Work" with the participation of key employers.
The seminar aimed to facilitate the exchange of practical expertise regarding innovations in social services and to highlight essential mechanisms for bridging the gap between theory and practice.
The program leader, Doctor of Political Science, Associate Professor Bibigul Imanbekova, delivered a presentation on the future of the social work profession. She discussed the dynamics of its development in line with modern requirements, as well as the professional goals, objectives, and functional responsibilities of social work specialists.
During the event, Nurgayym Duissenbayeva, Director of the "Parasat" Center for Special Social Services in Almaty, presented a report on the "Specifics of Social Service Provision for Children with Special Needs." Additionally, Anargul Ospanova, Director of the "Shapagat" Center for Special Social Services, shared the center's mission and future strategic plans.
The seminar was attended by heads of major social service centers in Almaty, faculty members, and students of the "Social Work" educational program.
