As part of the "Science Decade – 2026," the Department of Informatics of the Institute of Physics, Mathematics, and Digital Technologies organized a scientific and methodological seminar titled "Improving the Quality of Scientific Publications: h-index, Citation, and Modern Scopus Rating Indicators."
The goal of the event was to increase the publication activity of the faculty and young researchers, improve skills in working with international scientific databases, and promote the academic reputation of university scientists at the international level.
The session was led by Mekebayev Nurbapa Otanuly, PhD and Associate Professor. During his presentation, the speaker provided detailed insights into practical ways of enhancing the quality of scientific works and the nuances of modern rating indicators within the Scopus database.
At the end of the seminar, participants engaged in an exchange of views regarding the preparation of scientific articles and the selection of reliable journals, receiving comprehensive answers from the professor.
