The 12th National Competition "IQ ALAMAN – 2026" was organized at the Kazakh National Women’s Teacher Training University in support of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s initiatives to develop artificial intelligence technologies and the "AI-Sana" program. The event was hosted by the Department of Information Technology and Library Science of the Institute of Physics, Mathematics, and Digital Technologies.

                                      

The goal of the event is to enhance the research and intellectual potential of students, engage young professionals in solving modern digital challenges, and identify the best projects in the field of artificial intelligence.

                                       

This year, teams from 10 leading universities across the country (Taraz, Shymkent, Turkestan, Taldykorgan, Kokshetau, and Almaty) participated in the competition. Talented students from prominent institutions, including Al-Farabi KazNU, Abai KazNPU, and M. Auezov South Kazakhstan University, competed for the top honors.

                                       

The competition featured four comprehensive stages: "AI Battle," "IQ Coding," "AI Network," and "AI Project." Participants developed specialized AI agents designed to address the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) using artificial intelligence and defended their projects before a panel of experts.

                                     

The projects were evaluated by a qualified jury, including Yuliya Andreyeva, founder of iTeacher Academy; Gulnaz Salgarayeva, Director of the Institute; and Arshyn Altybay, representing the Institute of Mathematics and Mathematical Modeling.

                                    

According to the results of the competition, the first place was awarded to the "IKTU Engineering" team from the Khoja Akhmet Yassawi International Kazakh-Turkish University. The second place was secured by the "Zhanibekov" team from the Uzbekistan Zhanibekov South Kazakhstan Pedagogical University. The third place was shared by the "Justice" team from the Zhetysu University named after Ilyas Zhansugurov and the "Async" team from the M. Auezov South Kazakhstan University. All participants were presented with certificates and letters of appreciation.
