The Department of Theory and Methodology of Kazakh Linguistics at the Institute of Philology of the Kazakh National Women’s Teacher Training University organized the National Subject Olympiad in the "Kazakh Language" for international and non-native speaking students from higher education institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The goal of the intellectual competition is to expand the scope of the state language's application, foster Kazakhstani patriotism among students, and strengthen the status of the Kazakh language as a medium for inter-ethnic communication.

A total of 19 teams from leading universities across the country, including the cities of Astana, Karaganda, Kyzylorda, Uralsk, Kokshetau, Semey, Petropavlovsk, and Almaty, participated in the Olympiad. During the competition, students representing 17 different ethnicities demonstrated a high level of linguistic proficiency and expressed their thoughts fluently in the state language.

The participants' speaking and writing skills were evaluated by a jury composed of qualified linguists and industry experts, headed by the Executive Director of the "Institute for the Development of the State Language," Professor Bizhomart Seisenbekuly Kapalbek.

As part of the two-day educational event, cognitive excursions to the city's landmarks and cultural programs were organized for the students.

Following the results of the event, those who showed excellence in mastering the state language were named winners and honored with special degree diplomas and awards.

This Olympiad became an important platform not only for honing the language skills of future professionals but also for strengthening friendly ties between students.
