To mark International Museum Day, the "Aktumar" Historical and Ethnographic Museum of the Kazakh National Women's Teacher Training University is holding an open house event titled "Museum: Following the Traces of Hidden History."

Departing from traditional excursions, the event is organized in interactive and digital formats, with the museum hall arranged as an educational creative space for participants.

As part of the program, during the "Following the Traces of Hidden History" QR-code quest game, participants can use special answer sheets to locate 7 key artifacts hidden throughout the museum using QR codes. Students complete tasks related to the history of Zhangir Khan, who opened the first school on Kazakh soil, the exemplary path of Tursyn Myrzabekova, a revered rector in the university's history, as well as museum fund pieces such as asyk, sakpan, a ring, kimeshek, and a Maxim machine gun. Visitors who complete all tasks correctly are presented with souvenir gifts.

Additionally, a special retro-photo zone depicting a 20th-century historian's study has been set up on the museum premises. An old bookcase, a vintage typewriter, a quill pen, and historical maps are placed there, while retro melodies and programs featuring the voice of announcer Anuarbek Baizhanbayev from the golden fund of the Kazakh Radio of the 1970s–1980s are played in the background.

During the event, a "Message to the Future" campaign is also organized, where guests are placing their letters into a special time capsule decorated with national ornaments. This capsule will be officially opened in 10 years, in 2036, for the next generation of university students.
