Within the framework of the opening ceremony of the International Festival "School – University – Market: A New Architecture of Education", a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Kazakh National Women’s Teacher Training University and the Xinjiang Astronomical Observatory of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS).

The solemn event was attended by Zharkyn Esimbek as the official representative on behalf of the observatory, while the agreement was endorsed on behalf of the university by its leadership, led by the Chair of the Managing Board – Rector, Beybitkul Karimova.

This is the first historic agreement to lay the foundation for scientific and academic ties between the two organizations. This agreement envisions cooperation and exchange of experience in the field of natural sciences, including astronomy, physics, and digital technologies. It also aims to organize international internships for faculty and students, as well as the joint development of modern scientific and methodological resources.

Founded in 1957, the Xinjiang Astronomical Observatory is the largest astronomical research institution in the western region of China. Featuring three specialized laboratories and four observation stations, the center carries out major international projects, including the study of gravitational waves, space objects, and the Beidou navigation network.
