Gulmira Tuyakkyzy Topanova, Associate Professor at the Kazakh National Women's Teacher Training University, participated in an academic mobility program at the Mkhitar Heratsi Yerevan State Medical University in the Republic of Armenia from June 15 to June 23, 2026.
This initiative was organized upon the official invitation of the Rectorate of the Yerevan State Medical University. The execution of the academic program was coordinated by the university's Department of Clinical Psychology and its Head, Gayane Akopovna Kazaryan.
During the visit, working meetings were held with Professor Grant Avanesyan, Head of the Department of General Psychology at Yerevan State University, and Professor Asya Berberyan, Head of the Department of Psychology at the Russian-Armenian University.
The discussions focused on the organization of the educational process, the relevance of research topics pursued by master's and doctoral students, and the implementation of joint projects in the fields of clinical and crisis psychology.
As a primary outcome of these meetings, a Working Plan for the 2026–2027 academic year was signed. The framework of the document entails the development of joint educational programs and publications, the delivery of online webinars on crisis psychology, and the creation of methodological guidelines and supervision protocols.
To enhance practical cooperation, professional ties were established with leading specialists and psychotherapists at the Mental Health Center to develop psychological support methods for professional burnout. Additionally, a meeting was held with practicing psychotherapist Armine Avagyan within the "Corporate Health" project to address the implementation of psychological support programs in educational institutions.
The program has laid a solid foundation for long-term partnership between QyzPU and YSMU, while also opening up new perspectives for collaboration with the Russian-Armenian University in the field of psychological science and education.
