Scientific projects submitted by the faculty of Kazakh National Women's Teacher Training University have advanced to the second stage of the Almaty City Akimat Research Grant Competition for 2026.

The competition aims to support scientific research within the framework of the Development Strategy of Almaty until 2050. A key feature of the contest is the applied nature of the projects: scientific ideas must translate into practical solutions that can be integrated into city infrastructure and improve the quality of life for residents.

The competition encompasses the following priority areas: creating a comfortable urban environment, ensuring sustainable economic growth, effectively managing urbanization processes, strengthening social stability, implementing the "Green Almaty" environmental initiatives, advancing the "Almaty – Smart City" digital transformation, and delivering on the "Safe City" concept.

Hundreds of projects were submitted to the contest by leading higher education institutions and research organizations across the country. Following the expert commission's decision, 18 out of 29 projects submitted by Kazakh National Women's Teacher Training University were shortlisted for the second stage.

On July 20, 2026, a business acceleration program commenced as part of the second stage. Its primary goal is to prepare project teams for the final Demo Day presentations, scheduled for August 7. Following the final presentations, decisions will be made on recommending projects for financial support from the Almaty City Akimat. This is a significant achievement that underscores the university's scientific potential and the professional competence of its faculty.
