A bilateral partnership meeting was held at the Kazakh National Women's Teacher Training University with representatives from the Korea National University of Education (KNUE) and the Almaty Korean Education Center.

The Korean delegation included Lee Sang-gi, Head of the Office of Admissions and Student Affairs at KNUE, and Song In-hwa, Head of the Health Division. The Almaty Korean Education Center was represented by Director Kim Hong-hwan, Deputy Director Lee Tae-gon, and Dalelkhan Moldir, Head of the School Support Division.

The delegation was welcomed by university leadership led by the Chair of the Managing Board – Rector of QyzPU, Beibitkul Karimova, to discuss prospects for expanding bilateral cooperation.

During the meeting, the Rector highlighted the significance of educational digitalization and technology integration: "Today, digitalizing education, expanding distance learning opportunities, and incorporating modern technologies into the learning process are critical tasks for all higher education institutions. Therefore, I believe there is substantial potential for sharing expertise in this direction."

In turn, Lee Sang-gi, Head of the Office of Admissions and Student Affairs at KNUE, emphasized the alignment of both institutions' objectives: "The goals and development trajectories of our universities closely align. We are open to joint efforts in advancing teacher education in line with modern trends, particularly in effectively integrating artificial intelligence into education and preparing future educators."

The parties discussed exchanging best practices in teacher education, fostering academic mobility for students and faculty, implementing joint research and academic projects, and exploring study and internship opportunities in South Korea.

Founded in 1984, the Korea National University of Education (KNUE) is the only comprehensive national university in South Korea dedicated to training early childhood, primary, and secondary school teachers, as well as providing in-service teacher training.

Operating under the Embassy since 1991, the Almaty Korean Education Center is the official body responsible for promoting the Korean language, sharing educational practices, and strengthening educational ties between the two countries.

Following the discussion, the parties agreed to advance these priority areas, move forward with signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the two universities, and maintain close cooperation with the Almaty Korean Education Center.

Additionally, the volunteer team from the Korea National University of Education toured the QyzPU learning facilities, exploring the campus infrastructure and educational system.
