The Kazakh National Women’s Teacher Training University held a meeting with a delegation from Kewen College of Jiangsu Normal University. The Chinese delegation was headed by Liu Xiaolian, Secretary of the Communist Party of China Committee.

                                               

The delegation also included Shen Shan, Dean of the School of Economics; Hou Jiayu, Dean of the School of Humanities and Natural Sciences; Zhao Junyang, Deputy Dean of the School of Management; and Li Yue, representative of the Department of International Cooperation and Exchange.

                                                

QyzPU was represented by Ernar Toktybayev, Member of the Board and Vice-Rector for Infrastructure Development; Aigul Satbekova, Dean of the Faculty of Philology; and Nurbolat Kudaibergenov, Director of the Department of Strategic Development.

                                                

During the meeting, the parties discussed the development of academic and research cooperation, expanding student and faculty exchanges, and implementing joint educational and research projects. An important outcome of the meeting was the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation and a Project Cooperation Agreement between QyzPU and Jiangsu Normal University Kewen College.

                                               

The agreements provide for the development of academic mobility for students and faculty, semester-based and short-term exchange programmes, internships and summer schools, as well as the development of joint educational programmes. In particular, the parties discussed the potential implementation of 2+2 and 3+1 programmes.

                                               

Priority areas of cooperation include Chinese language and philology, pedagogy, economics, management, social sciences and humanities, information technology, and artificial intelligence.

                                               

The parties also discussed opportunities for students to undertake language and professional internships in China, improve their Chinese language skills in a practical environment, and develop joint research projects and publications.
