Kazakh National Women's Teacher Training University hosted the university startup competition "STARTUP-TOMIRIS". A total of 56 student teams from undergraduate and graduate programs took part in the large-scale two-day event.

At the opening ceremony, Board Member and Vice-Rector for Research and Strategic Initiatives Aktolkyn Kulsariyeva stated: "This competition is an important platform that paves the way for students' innovative ideas and initiatives. Transforming our youth's research efforts into real-world projects contributes significantly to the development of the university's entrepreneurial ecosystem."

During the competition, participants presented the novelty and practical significance of their projects in fields such as educational technology, artificial intelligence, digitalization, ecology, inclusive education, social entrepreneurship, and cultural heritage preservation.

The projects were evaluated by an expert commission - comprising university leadership and Maksat Yelaman, Managing Partner at "PROJECT PREPARATION GROUP"- based on 8 established criteria, including market demand, competitive advantage, and feasibility. The total financial support fund for the competition is 5 million KZT.

It is worth noting that "STARTUP-TOMIRIS" is a key platform that enables young researchers and future entrepreneurs to turn their ideas into action, aimed at advancing the university's innovative and entrepreneurial ecosystem. The results of the competition will be announced in the coming days.
