As part of the "One Country – One Book" nationwide campaign, a literary and educational evening titled "Fate – The Fate of the People" was held to mark the 90th anniversary of the People's Writer of Kazakhstan, Qabdesh Zhumadilov. Organized at the Seraly Kaniyev Scientific Library, the event was attended by university students, faculty members, and library readers.

The purpose of the meeting was to promote the historical literary heritage of the prominent writer, highlight the historical and artistic value of the novel Fate (Tagdyr), and foster young people's interest in national literature and history.

During the event, participants learned about the life of Kazakhs in the Chuguchak region at the end of the 19th century and the historical developments surrounding the border demarcation between Russia and China. Through the life journey of the main character, Demezhan, key topics such as service to the nation, justice, civic responsibility, and protecting the interests of the people were discussed.

The "One Country – One Book" campaign is a large-scale initiative aimed at promoting national literary heritage and fostering a reading culture in society, particularly among the youth. This effort expands the intellectual horizons of the younger generation and enables them to engage deeply with native literary works.

The gathering featured an interactive program, including the "Recognize the Character" quiz, "Discussion of Fate," "Food for Thought" sessions, and a thematic overview titled "Four Milestones of the Novel." Additionally, a dedicated book exhibition highlighting the author's work was presented, and active participants received letters of appreciation.
