In honor of Republic Day, a student debate titled "Responsible Citizen – Powerful State" was organized by the Department of Mathematics of the Faculty of Physics, Mathematics, and Digital Technologies at the Kazakh National Women's Teacher Training University.

The event aimed to enhance students' civic responsibility, foster patriotism, and develop critical thinking and debate culture. At the opening ceremony, Senior Advisor of the Faculty Akmaral Aidarbekova and Head of the Department of Mathematics Dinara Zhanuzakova delivered welcoming remarks, highlighting the significance of Republic Day.

During the intense debate, two teams defended their positions as the Government and Opposition sides. Representatives of the Government presented arguments on how civic responsibility forms the foundation of a powerful state, while the Opposition side offered a critical perspective, bringing forward other key factors. The competition comprised five stages: "Government Case," "Opposition Case," "Deepening Arguments," "Cross-Questions," and "Food for Thought."

The participants' performances were evaluated by members of the "Parasatty NLO" debate club. The panel of judges assessed the teams based on logical consistency, responses to counterarguments, public speaking skills, and teamwork, eventually determining the winners. At the end of the event, participants were awarded 1st and 2nd degree diplomas.
