The Shakhmardan Yessenov Foundation announces a competition for 10 grants supporting research internships of up to 90 days at leading scientific and research laboratories worldwide in 2027.
Who can apply?
Citizens of Kazakhstan residing in the country;
Undergraduate, master’s and medical internship students at Kazakhstani universities, as well as active researchers;
Applicants studying or working in natural sciences, mathematics and statistics, information and communication technologies, engineering, manufacturing, construction or healthcare;
Candidates with a GPA of at least 3.3 and English proficiency at B2 level or above;
Candidates with scientific achievements and a demonstrated interest in a specific research field, who plan to pursue a PhD and continue their research careers in Kazakhstan.
Required documents:
- Copy of an identity document;
- Essay entitled “The Research I Would Like to Conduct”;
- Academic transcript;
- Relevant diploma;
- CV.
Additional documents may include scientific certificates, evidence of social engagement and volunteering, publications, and a letter of recommendation.
Applications and essays may be submitted in Kazakh, Russian or English.
