The defense of Lesson Study projects by 4th-year students of the "Preschool Educator and Speech Therapist" educational program took place at the Department of Preschool Education of the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology.
The purpose of the event is to build the research culture of future educators, develop their professional competencies, and improve the educational process.
The key highlight of this year's project defense was the integration of artificial intelligence technologies into the educational process within the future specialists' research. During collaborative lesson planning and observation, the students scientifically demonstrated the potential of AI in enhancing the quality of teaching, developing children's cognitive activity, and personalizing the learning process.
As a result of the defense, the committee members highly praised the relevance, scientific, and practical significance of the presented projects, alongside the students' high-level skills in conducting research, analyzing, and critically evaluating pedagogical situations.
Lesson Study is a Japanese research methodology aimed at enhancing educators' professional excellence and improving the quality of student learning through collaborative lesson planning, observation, and analysis. It is worth noting that QyzPU was among the first pedagogical universities in the country to introduce the writing of thesis projects based on this Japanese research method focused on teachers' professional development.
