      A unique multi-format seminar "PsyLab: Platform for Professional Skills and Experience" was held at the Kazakh National Women's Teacher Training University organized by the program leader of the Department of Psychology of the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology Gulmira Topanova and the academic staff.

      The seminar was attended by specialists in the field of pedagogy and psychology, teachers of higher education institutions, heads of educational organizations and psychologists, stakeholders, representatives of law enforcement authorities, students and young specialists.

      The purpose of the event "PsyLab: A Platform for Professional Skills and Experience" is to provide students and specialists with the opportunity to exchange professional experience, introduce them to the latest achievements and practices in the field of psychology and pedagogy, develop the professional skills of future specialists, as well as help them establish contacts with leading experts in the industry and determine career direction.

      "The main goal of today's seminar is to hold professional meetings with employers and specialists in various fields of psychology, establish close connections and help our students find work after graduation. That is, after listening to the advice of qualified specialists, students will be able to determine their future direction.       The seminar presented the role of educational psychologists in educational institutions, their importance in the educational system, as well as the specifics of working with children and adolescents. The requirements for young professionals, the skills that employers expect, and career opportunities in the field of education were also discussed. It was noted that psychology in the field of inclusive education and work with children in need of special education is one of the most demanded professions at the present time.

      The chief specialist of the department of educational and social-psychological work among convicts of the Department of the penal system for Almaty, Lieutenant Colonel of Justice of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Shynar Khusainova shared her professional experience, talked about the difficulties and peculiarities of her work, and invited students to consider employment in this field.

      "Today I came to the Kazakh National Women's Teacher Training University and explained the importance of working in the penal correction system. There will always be different people in society. The essence of our work is to provide educational and psychological assistance to citizens who have committed crimes and found themselves in detention, preparing them to return to society. This profession is of great importance. Therefore, I invite students studying at the Faculty of Psychology to consider this field and become qualified specialists," said Shynar Khusainova.

      Students asked professional specialists questions that worried them and received comprehensive answers at the meeting.

      "Today I met many specialists in the field of psychology and received valuable information. This meeting increased my interest in the profession. I was convinced of the importance of my specialty in society. We are grateful to the organizers for holding such an event," said first-year student of the educational program "Psychology" Asel Eltaeva.

      This seminar provided students and young professionals with the opportunity to exchange professional experience in the field of psychology and shape their career directions.
