      As part of the "Decade of Science", organized by the Department of Geography on the occasion of Science Day, a scientific seminar was held on the topic "Modern paradigms of geographical education". The seminar was devoted to the discussion of current approaches and new trends in the teaching of geography and geobotany.

      The main goal of the event was to create a platform for the exchange of experience and knowledge between teachers, scientists and experts in the field of geographical education, as well as an analysis of the current state and prospects for the development of the education system in the Eurasian space.

      Speakers of the seminar: Kaster Sarkytkan - Candidate of Geographical Sciences, Professor, Member of the Union of Journalists of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Lecturer at the Kazakh National Pedagogical University named after Abay (Almaty, Kazakhstan);

      Alibek Ydyrysuly - Director of the Research Center for Biomedicine of the Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi, Professor in the field of Biological Sciences, PhD, Member of the Presidential Youth Personnel Reserve.

      The seminar examined key theoretical and practical aspects influencing the development of geographical education in the context of globalization, digitalization and changes in educational paradigms.
