Great Chemists of Kazakhstan

    • Great Chemists of Kazakhstan

In honor of the "Science Month - 2025", the Department of Chemistry of the Kazakh National Women's Teacher Training University organized a scientific seminar on the theme "Great Chemists of Kazakhstan".

The main goal of the event was to familiarize students with the life path and scientific achievements of outstanding chemists who made a significant contribution to the development of chemical science in Kazakhstan, as well as to stimulate the interest of young people in scientific activities and the formation of patriotic consciousness through the popularization of their achievements.

The scientific program of the seminar included a comprehensive review of the life path and scientific works of outstanding figures who played an important role in the development of the country's chemical industry. The students were presented in detail and in an accessible way the results of the scientists' research, their discoveries, achievements in the field of chemistry, as well as their contribution to the development of the industrial potential of Kazakhstan. In addition, scientific projects of young researchers were demonstrated.

Particular attention during the seminar was paid to scientists who made a significant contribution to world and domestic science. Among the noted individuals: D.I. Mendeleyev is the founder of the periodic law and the system of chemical elements; A.A. Baikov is a researcher who introduced physical chemistry into the metallurgical industry; Kanysh Satpayev is the founder of Kazakhstan's metallurgical science; Abiken Bekturov is a scientist who conducted research in the field of inorganic chemistry and metallurgical reagents; A.A. Bochvar is the author of fundamental research in the field of nuclear metallurgy. The event resulted not only in the deepening of students' scientific knowledge, but also in the formation of a sense of pride in the achievements of domestic chemical science. The seminar certainly became an incentive for increasing the interest of young people in scientific and educational activities, and will also contribute to the further development of Kazakhstan's scientific potential.
