Sabit Mukanov: A Great Personality of Kazakh Literature

  On April 25, in honor of the 125th anniversary of the outstanding writer and public figure Sabit Mukanov, a literary evening was held under the title: "Sabit Mukanov: A Great Personality of Kazakh Literature."

  The event was organized jointly by the Reader Services Department, the Reference and Bibliographic and Information Service, and first-year students of the Institute of Philology specializing in "Kazakh Language and Literature."

  The goal of the evening was to widely introduce the life and work of Sabit Mukanov, to understand the significance of his literary heritage and to increase students' interest in literature.

  During the event, students gave presentations on the life and work of the writer, read excerpts from his poems, and staged his works. A book exhibition from the library's collection dedicated to Sabit Mukanov was also organized, including books and articles about him.

  At the end of the meeting, the participants noted the significant place of Sabit Mukanov in Kazakh literature and emphasized the importance of popularizing his creative heritage. Letters of gratitude and gifts were also presented to students who took an active part in this event.
