From April 22 to 25, the Scientific School program was held at the initiative of the Kazakh National Women's Teacher Training University (QyzPU) for PhD candidates and doctoral students from various higher education institutions. The program was aimed at supporting future scholars in conducting high-quality research, writing dissertations in accordance with academic standards, and adhering to the principles of academic integrity and responsibility.
The Scientific School program consisted of four modules:
Module I – Paths and Requirements for a Successful PhD Defense. The New PhD Format;
Module II – Research Design and Scientific Research Methods;
Module III – Academic Principles and Standards in Writing Scientific Articles and Dissertations;
Module IV – Scientific Ethics and Researcher Responsibility. Artificial Intelligence in Research Activities.The speakers of the Scientific School were graduates of the Bolashak program, authors of cutting-edge scientific publications and modern academic books, actively involved in training the next generation of researchers.
Over the course of 36 hours, the program thoroughly covered the requirements and effective strategies for a successful dissertation defense, including the updated PhD format. Special attention was paid to research design and scientific methods. Academic standards for writing scientific papers and articles were explained in detail. In addition, important issues such as research ethics, researcher responsibility, and the use of artificial intelligence in research were addressed.
This course provided participants with comprehensive knowledge of academic writing standards, research ethics, and responsible conduct in research, as well as how to effectively use artificial intelligence in the research process. By the end of the course, participants had improved their skills in writing high-quality academic papers, structuring their work properly, and managing the research process effectively. Participants who successfully completed the program received certificates.
