Guest lectures were recently held at the Kazakh National Women's Teacher Training University (QyzPU) with the participation of faculty members and students from the Department of Preschool Education. The event served as a platform for dialogue, focusing on global trends and innovative approaches in the field of education.
As part of the program, Professor Douglas Hartman from the College of Education at Michigan State University (USA) and an expert in educational technologies, delivered a lecture titled "How to design professional development for AI-enhanced teaching?" In his presentation, he emphasized the growing role of artificial intelligence in modern education and shared practical recommendations for organizing effective professional development for educators.
Professor Altun Dilek from Boğaziçi University (Turkey) delivered an equally insightful lecture on "Play, Patterns, and Problem-Solving: Developing Computational Thinking in Preschool Classrooms." Her presentation highlighted the importance of play-based methods in fostering computational thinking among preschool-aged children.
These lectures enabled participants to explore pressing topics at the intersection of technology and early childhood education, while also providing access to cutting-edge international expertise.
Such events significantly contribute to the professional development of both students and educators, foster a modern pedagogical culture, and encourage the integration of innovation into the educational process.
