At the Kazakh National Women's Teacher Training University, a presentation was held for a new textbook on the subject "Kazakh Language" designed for higher education institutions. The new textbook, titled “Kazakh tili. В2.2 zhogary dengei” ("Kazakh Language. Level B2.2 – Advanced"), was developed based on the standard curriculum for the general education subject “Kazakh Language,” approved by the order of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan on May 4, 2024, No. 213.
The event was organized by the Institute of Philology and the scientific-methodological school "45 Minutes" at the Department of Theory and Methods of Kazakh Linguistics. The presentation was attended by university faculty, lecturers from universities across the country, linguists, doctoral students, master’s students, and undergraduates.
The new textbook is a collaborative effort prepared under the leadership of Professor Aigul Satbekova, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences at Kazakh National Women’s Teacher Training University. Among the authors are Candidate of Philological Sciences and Associate Professor Saule Asanbayeva, Senior Lecturer Bakyt Abilbekova from Kostanay Regional University named after A. Baitursynov, and Master of Pedagogical Sciences, Senior Lecturer Aigul Akhmetkyzy.
Professor Aigul Satbekova provided a detailed overview of the conceptual basis, structure, and content of the textbook. According to her, the manual is designed for learning the state language based on international standards and is intended for the B2.2 level. The textbook content promotes the development of communicative competence in future specialists and the formation of personalities who can confidently use Kazakh in scientific, socio-cultural, and political spheres of public life. It also covers topics of social, cultural, economic, and global significance.
One innovation of the textbook is the inclusion of audio materials accessible via QR codes, which facilitates the effective integration of digital technologies into the learning process. Students can quickly access materials using their smartphones.
During the presentation, participants discussed current issues in teaching modern Kazakh and exchanged views. The event was substantial and regarded as an important step toward improving the quality of Kazakh language education.
