    • Exploring the Turkic World: XII International Symposium

Today, the XII International Symposium on Turkic Studies began at Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University. The main theme of the forum is cooperation among Turkic states in the field of higher education. The Kazakh National Women's Teacher Training University (QyzPU) is participating as an official partner of the symposium.

At the opening ceremony, Chair of the Board – Rector of QyzPU, Professor Gulmira Qanay, delivered a speech in which she emphasized that cultural and educational ties among the brotherly peoples of the Turkic world are a vital foundation for a shared future.

"Today, we speak about cooperation in the cultural and educational spheres of Turkic people who share the same roots, united by common history and destiny. This is the basis of our future and the guarantee of our spiritual unity. We are bound by a common language, religion, traditions, and customs. Preserving these spiritual connections is not only respect for the past but also a path toward a bright future," said the Rector.

Professor Gulmira Amirkhanovna also highlighted the importance of preserving shared roots and values of the Turkic people and the formation of a unified scientific and educational space.

Given QyzPU’s special mission, she presented several initiatives during the symposium related to girls’ education in Turkic countries. Among them were:

      • The development of a textbook on the history of women’s education in the Turkic world.
      • A proposal to jointly compile a “Turkic Women’s Encyclopedia” in collaboration with three universities, aimed at studying and promoting the heritage of female scholars and educators from Turkic countries.

The Kazakh National Women’s Teacher Training University actively supports initiatives aimed at highlighting the contributions of women in the Turkic world to societal development through education.

The symposium will continue until May 23. As the only university in Central Asia specializing in women’s education, QyzPU remains committed to strengthening cooperation with brotherly nations in education and science.
