On June 12–13, a special course titled “Leadership in Education” was held at our university under the guidance of Erkyn Zhumankulova, Acting Chair of the Board – Rector. The aim of the course was to develop the leadership potential of the university's academic staff, enhance strategic thinking, and build management skills in line with the modern demands of the education system.
During the event, Erkyn Zhumankulova highlighted the crucial role of a leader in education, focusing on their influence, responsibilities within a team, and impact on institutional culture. Key topics included:
- Effective communication in academic settings
- Teamwork and collaboration
- Development of innovative thinking
- Adaptability and resilience in times of change
Participants engaged in case studies based on real-life situations, exchanged views, and shared experiences.
To be a leader in an educational institution means not only managing but also making value-based decisions, fostering trust, and uniting the team around a shared mission. This course provided a valuable opportunity for academic staff to reflect on leadership not just as a managerial tool, but as a foundation for spiritual, human, and strategic growth.
Participants praised the content of the course and expressed readiness to apply the acquired knowledge and insights in their daily work. Initiatives like this, aimed at cultivating leadership, will continue to play a vital role in team development and institutional success.
