      On July 1, 2025, Akim of Almaty, Darkhan Satybaldy, held a meeting with the heads of higher education institutions in the city. The event aimed to strengthen collaboration with universities, expand cooperation, and discuss current issues within the academic community.

      At the meeting, which was attended by rectors and representatives of leading universities in Almaty, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Kazakh National Women's Teacher Training University, Omarkhan Oksikbaev, spoke on behalf of the Kazakh National Women's Teacher Training University.

      During the session, the Akimat and university leaders explored prospects for joint efforts to improve youth policy and enhance the quality of education. University heads also shared proposals and initiatives in an open and constructive dialogue.

      Both sides emphasized the importance of holding such discussions regularly, recognizing that continuous dialogue is key to ensuring access to quality education and supporting the development of the city’s education system.

      As one of the leading teacher training universities in the country, QyzPU has a rich history spanning over 80 years. It has trained thousands of qualified professionals who have made valuable contributions to the nation's progress. The university also regularly organizes professional development and retraining courses for teachers in Almaty.

      Students from the “Social Work” educational program carry out internships at various city social service centers, including:

      • Ardagerler Üyi
      • Ayala
      • Parasat
      • Shapagat
      • Demeu
      • Senim
      • Qamqor

      In the past two years, students have also actively participated in citywide social projects such as:

      • Baqytty Otbasy
      • Zhan Ana
      • Säbi Tilegi

      These initiatives involve comprehensive support for vulnerable populations, in partnership with case managers. Through this work, QyzPU students contribute meaningfully to the city’s social and cultural development.

      The meeting between the Akimat and academic institutions marks another step toward building a collaborative and student-centered educational environment in Almaty.
