QyzPU hosted another motivational lecture for first-year students, organized by the Department of Personality Development and the Center for Women's Leadership and Entrepreneurship, based at the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology.
The lecture was delivered by Aigerim Ilyasova – a finance professional, PhD in Economics, graduate of the MSc Finance program (UK), and a seasoned Chief Financial Officer with over 15 years of experience.
The aim of the event was to support students' professional and personal development by fostering financial literacy, increasing their competitiveness in the labor market, and strengthening their sense of social responsibility.
During the lecture, key principles of personal financial management were covered, including:
- effective use of government allowances,
- planning daily expenses,
- methods of saving and budgeting,
- the importance of avoiding unnecessary debt.
The knowledge gained helps young people improve their financial literacy and develop a responsible attitude toward their future. This initiative aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 4 – “Quality Education.” The lecture supports students’ personal and professional growth through the development of practical financial thinking skills.
At the end of the event, participants asked the speaker questions of interest and received commemorative gifts from the organizers.
