A round table was held at our university on the initiative of the Center for Youth Policy, dedicated to the parliamentary reform announced in the Address of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to the Nation on September 8, 2025.

The main goal of the event was to enhance students’ political literacy, foster civic engagement, and encourage youth participation in the socio-political life of the country.

Special guests of the meeting included Gulnar Niyazova, Deputy Chair of the Almalinsky District Territorial Election Commission of Almaty, and Ayauly Kamalbekova, Secretary of the Commission. They provided detailed explanations to the students about the electoral system, the procedure for conducting referendums, and the democratic rights of every citizen.

Following the round table, the university’s debate club “Parassatty Naghyz Liderler Odagy” (Union of True Noble Leaders) hosted engaging and insightful debates focused on the President's initiatives.

Students exchanged views on the significance of parliamentary reform, the strengthening of democratic values, and the importance of active youth involvement in political processes.

The event contributed to the promotion of legal awareness, the advancement of democratic principles, and the reinforcement of civic responsibility among young people.
