Apple Learning Event for Educators Held at QyzPU

    • Apple Learning Event for Educators Held at QyzPU

On August 15, the Kazakh National Women’s Teacher Training University (QyzPU) hosted the Apple Learning Event — a day of creativity and innovation focused on Apple-based educational programs. The event was organized by iTeacher Academy, in collaboration with an Apple Authorized Reseller and QyzPU.

The Apple Learning Event featured master classes, presentations, and hands-on demonstrations showcasing the use of modern Apple devices (iPad, Mac, Apple Pencil) for educators. The event included sessions led by Apple Distinguished Educators and Apple Certified Trainers. This year’s main themes were:

      • "What Drives Us in the Teaching Profession"
      • "The DNA of Learning: Designing Instruction, Not Just Implementing Technology"

Participants were divided into groups and took part in four thematic sections.

British educator and Apple Distinguished Educator Abdul Chohan shared methods for using technology to enhance teachers' research and classroom practices:

“In the UK, I was a school principal where we successfully integrated technology over many years. It’s an honor to be here in Almaty, at the Kazakh National Women’s Teacher Training University, representing iTeacher Academy. I’ll be discussing how teachers can use technology to make their work more efficient. We all know teachers are tasked with research, lesson planning, and giving feedback. Today, I want to show how technology can help save time, improve research quality, and elevate the overall teaching process,” said Abdul Chohan.

The Apple Learning Event represents a concrete step toward QyzPU’s digital transformation of the educational environment. The university plans to further develop faculty skills through the Apple Teacher program, offer regular trainings and courses in a dedicated Apple classroom, and organize digital creativity contests for students and teachers.

Yulia Andreeva, founder of iTeacher Academy and Apple Authorized Reseller, highlighted the uniqueness of this event:

“This is the first time an Apple Learning Event Almaty is being held on the campus of a public educational institution. Among our speakers are Apple trainers from the UK and Russia, as well as local Apple-certified Swift developers. The goal is to introduce future and current educators to global best practices and show them how to apply these in their teaching. We demonstrate how to implement Apple’s educational programs like Everyone Can Create and Everyone Can Code, and how to use mobile technologies and educational apps effectively,” she emphasized.
