Announces a competition for the vacant position of Internal Auditor

  The Board of Directors of the Non–profit Joint Stock Company Kazakh National Women's Teacher Training University, 050000, Almaty, 114 Gogol St., announces a competition for the vacant position of Internal Auditor;

  The main objectives are to conduct audits and evaluate the financial and economic performance indicators of the Company; assess the efficiency of results-based budgeting; audit risk management and the internal control system within the Company; evaluate the accuracy, completeness, objectivity, and reliability of the Company’s accounting system and information (plans and reports), as well as assess the rules (principles and methods) used for identifying, measuring, classifying, and presenting such information (plans and reports) to internal and external users; evaluate the rationality and efficiency of the use of resources, assets, and the methods applied to ensure their accounting, preservation (restoration), and/or security (protection); assess the Company’s compliance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, internal policies, and other documents, as well as the effectiveness of systems and procedures established and applied to ensure such compliance; analyze and evaluate the implementation of decisions made by the Company’s governing bodies and the directives (recommendations) of authorized (supervisory) state bodies; and analyze the efficiency of the corporate governance system, the process of its improvement, and adherence to ethical standards and values.

  The purpose of the activity is to provide the Board of Directors and the Committee with independent and objective information intended to ensure the effective management of the Company, as well as to contribute to the achievement of the Company’s strategic goals by monitoring its financial and economic activities, providing assessments and recommendations for improving the Company’s internal control, risk management, and corporate governance systems in accordance with the powers defined by the Board of Directors and the relevant Regulations.

  Requirements for the contest participants:

  • Higher professional (financial and economic) education;
  • Work experience as an auditor and/or in the field of accounting and/or finance for at least five years, including at least three years in quasi-public sector entities and/or licensed financial organizations, or in state controlling or supervisory bodies of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
  • Knowledge of the regulatory legal acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan, including those related to auditing, accounting, and taxation;
  • Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and International Professional Standards of Internal Auditing developed by The Institute of Internal Auditors Inc., as well as International Standards on Auditing (ISA);
  • Availability of a “State Auditor” certificate issued by the National Certification Commission for persons applying for the qualification of a State Auditor, with a special security level confirming the candidate’s qualification as a State Auditor of the appropriate level and/or a qualification certificate “Auditor” obtained in accordance with the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On Auditing Activities” and/or a certificate in the field of internal audit CIA (Certified Internal Auditor) and/or a ACCA (Association of Certified Chartered Accountants) certificate, and/or DipIFR (Diploma in International Financial Reporting), and/or CIPA (Certified International Professional Accountant) certificate, and/or DipPIA (Diploma in Professional Internal Auditor);
  • Proficiency in the state language sufficient for effective communication, as well as in English.

  A person cannot participate in the competition:

  1) previously committed a corruption offense;

  2) having an outstanding or outstanding criminal record;

  3) registered in special medical institutions;

  4) other cases stipulated by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

  The person applying for participation in the competition submits the following documents in electronic and paper media (in Kazakh, English and Russian):

  1. a written application from the candidate for appointment to the position of Internal Auditor of the Company in accordance with Appendix 1.
  2. the competition participant’s track record with a 3x4 color photograph in the established format according to Appendix 2;
  3. a copy of the identity document of the Competition participant;
  4. copies of educational documents and appendices to them with the presentation of originals for verification, information on advanced training and professional retraining;
  5. relevant certificates;
  6. information about work experience in a similar position.

  Acceptance of documents for participation in the competition is carried out within 10 (ten) calendar days from the date of publication of the announcement.

  The date and venue of the contest will be announced additionally.
